How to Purchase Silicone Sealant Kenya
Please call 0116 166 655 for current wholesale pricing and to arrange for collection from our Athi River warehouse or for delivery to your site.
We supply our silicone sealant by the carton to hardware stores, construction companies, and window fabricators. Each carton contains 24 cartridges.
DLG A6015 is a one-part silicone sealant that cures with atmospheric moisture to form a tough, flexible rubber seal. We formulated it for professional glazing and construction applications where long-term durability is required.
Unlike cheaper acidic sealants, our neutral-cure formula does not release acetic acid during curing. This means it will not corrode metal frames or react with alkaline materials like concrete and plaster.
Key Features and Benefits of Silicone Sealant
1. Excellent Weatherproofing
The sealant creates a completely waterproof barrier that is resistant to rain, direct sunlight (UV radiation), and extreme temperature changes. It is a reliable choice for sealing exterior joints exposed to Kenya’s varied climate.
2. Anti-Fungal Properties
This product contains a fungicide to resist mold and mildew growth. This feature makes it the correct sealant for use in wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and washrooms. It keeps joints clean and hygienic over time.
3. Strong Adhesion to Multiple Surfaces
DLG A6015 bonds effectively to most common building materials without a primer. These materials include glass, aluminium, galvanized steel, painted wood, concrete, and many plastics.
4. Permanent Flexibility
The sealant remains flexible after curing. It can accommodate natural movement in building joints up to 25% of the joint width. This elasticity prevents the seal from cracking or pulling away, ensuring long-term performance.

Primary Applications
-
Weather sealing of window and door frames (aluminium, uPVC, and wood).
-
Glazing applications for sealing glass into frames.
-
Sealing sanitary ware, including baths, sinks, showers, and toilets.
-
Sealing expansion and connection joints in precast concrete panels.
-
General sealing for HVAC systems, roofing, and guttering.
Application Guide
- Surface Preparation: The surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust or grease.
- Application: Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size and place the cartridge in a standard caulking gun. Apply the sealant with steady pressure to fill the joint completely.
- Tooling: Smooth the sealant bead with a spatula or wet finger within 5-10 minutes of application. This tooling ensures good contact with the surfaces and provides a neat finish.
- Curing: The sealant will form a non-sticky skin in about 15-20 minutes and will cure fully in 24-48 hours, depending on the joint size and humidity.
